Coronavirus kills 10 Pakistanis, infects 753 in one day

Pakistan has so far conducted 2,205,664 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 10 deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 286,674. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,139, Dunya News reported on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 753 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 124,929 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 94,865 in Punjab, 34,947 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,323 in Islamabad, 12,044 in Balochistan, 2,164 in Azad Kashmir and 2,402 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 2,297 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,179 in Punjab, 1,235 in KP, 138 in Balochistan, 173 in Islamabad, 58 in GB and 59 in Azad Kashmir.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 2,205,664 coronavirus tests and 19,221 in last 24 hours. 264,060 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 785 patients are in critical condition.
