IHC issues contempt notice to Zartaj Gul, Amin Aslam in animal death case
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued contempt of court notices to Minister of State Zartaj Gul and Special Assistant Malik Amin Aslam in the case pertaining to the death of animals at zoo.
The case against the death of animals at the zoo was heard by the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah.
Secretary Climate Change Naheed Durrani has taken the position that she accepts all responsibility for the death of animals, cabinet members have nothing to do with it.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the Cabinet had approved the Wildlife Board, so they are also responsible.
The court has issued contempt notices to Climate Change Advisor Malik Amin Aslam, Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul and Federal Secretary Climate Change Naheed Durrani.
In addition, contempt of court show cause notices have been issued to the members of the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board seeking answers from all parties by August 27.
