Blast hits JI rally in Karachi, several wounded
There were no reports of casualties.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A powerful bomb blast hit near Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) rally in Karachi, wounding several people.
As per the initial reports, the blast occurred near the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) rally near Bait-ul-Mukarrum Masjid located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.
There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Soon after the incident, law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area. The wounded people were being shifted to hospital for treatment.
According to a senior police officer, some unidentified motorcyclists hurled grenade on the participants of JI’s Kashmir rally.
Officials said they are collecting evidence from the blast site and conducting investigations into the incident.
