Construction work to begin at seven maternity hospitals across Punjab: Yasmin Rashid
SIALKOT (Dunya News) - Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid on Thursday said that coronavirus cases in Punjab are on decline and the entire nation has played a role in fight against the pandemic.
Talking to media along with Usman Dar, Dr. Yasmin Rashid announced that construction work will begin at seven maternity hospitals across the province during current year and PC-1 has been approved for Maternity Hospital Sialkot.
The provincial minister revealed that when she took over as health minister, 50% of the seats of doctors and professors were vacant and government later hired 28,000 new employees, including doctors, professors and nurses, which resulted in better health services for the masses.
She further said that government has raised the salaries of doctors, nurses and issued 5 million health cards to the people. She added that when 7.2 million families will get health cards, 25 to 30 million people will benefit from the facility.
