Operation against locusts in full swing across the country: Fakhar
Fakhar Imam said that efforts to control locusts were going on across the country.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam on Friday said that operation against locusts in full swing across the country, Dunya News reported.
Fakhar Imam stated this while chairing the meeting of National Locusts Controle Centre (NLCC). Lieutenant General Moazzam Ejaz, Coordinator NLCC also co chaired the meeting.
Fakhar Imam said that federal and provincial governments are doing coordinated effort to eliminate locusts from Pakistan.
The meeting was informed that so far 85.448671 square kilometres (approximately 11.09 crore acres) have been surveyed and locusts control operation had been completed over 25.10775 square kilometres (approximately 62.26 million acres) across the country.
