PM Imran directs negotiating committee to address concerns of coalition parties
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday has chaired a key meeting and directed the negotiating committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government to remove concerns of coalition parties.
The committee, comprising Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak and Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, has informed the premier about their scheduled meeting with disgruntled Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M).
On the occasion, PM Imran has asserted that all the allies are important for the government so their reservations should be eliminated at any cost.
It is to be mentioned here that PTI delegation will hold a meeting with BNP-M leadership today and convince them for re-alliance with the federation.
The move came after BNP Chief Akhtar Mengal, during National Assembly session, announced to end coalition with PTI government.
He said that his party has waited for two years but no one has bothered to pay attention to their demands despite fully supporting the government in last budget.
Akhtar Mengal said that PTI had signed two agreements at the time of government formation after the 2018 General Elections and later during the presidential elections, but not a single point of the accord was implemented.
We will stay in the Parliament and will keep on raising the issues, he added.
