NAB advises Shehbaz to get retested from Aga Khan or Shaukat Khanum laboratories
LAHORE (Dunya News) - After the coronavirus test of PML-N president and opposition leader Mian Shehbaz Sharif came back positive, NAB has advised Shehbaz Sharif to get retested from either Aga Khan or Shaukat Khanum laboratory.
According to details, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was receiving criticism by PML-N members after Shehbaz Sharif’s test came back positive, which prompted NAB to respond.
NAB sources said that Shehbaz Sharif should be tested by Aga Khan or Shaukat Khanum laboratory as there are several instances of coronavirus tests coming back as false positives or two different laboratories reporting different results
NAB sources said that Shehbaz Sharif was wearing protective mask and gloves at his NAB appearance yesterday. Even before the appearance, full precautionary measures had been taken in NAB Lahore. There was a glass separation for Shehbaz and hand sanitizer was also provided.
Sources said that the investigating officers asked questions while maintaining social distancing but NAB was being blamed for Shehbaz contracting the virus even though many members of PML-N leadership have also tested positive. They said that the matter of Shehbaz Sharif contracting the virus overnight needs to be explained.
NAB sources said that Shehbaz Sharif’s appearance in accountability court today was an important one as he was to be indicted in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case, him testing positive for coronavirus today is peculiar.
