'Criminal negligence of govt to not ensure return of Pakistanis stuck abroad'
Shehbaz Sharif said conduct of govt is condemnable as stranded people are run short of money.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday said it is criminal negligence of the federal government to not ensure return of the Pakistanis who are stuck abroad due to coronavirus.
The PML-N leader, while expressing concern, said the conduct of the federation is condemnable as the stranded people are run short of money. He said it is regrettable that tickets are being overcharged.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi forget after giving statement and people are frequently complaining of non-cooperation by embassies.
“What happened to the announcement of bringing back all Pakistanis before Eid-ul-Fitr? Why are passengers being overcharged?
“Pakistanis stranded abroad are forced to look for recommendations by the PM, FM and embassies to return. The government should help them on ground rather than making speeches and false claims. A clear plan and date of their return must be given.”
