LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Assembly Speaker and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and discussed current political and coronavirus situation in Pakistan along with other issues, Dunya News reported on Monday.
Member National Assembly Moonis Elahi was also present in the meeting along with his father, Pervaiz Elahi. The chief minister and the speaker exchanged views over the ongoing assembly session and agreed to conduct budget session in an efficient manner.
Usman Buzdar paid tribute to Pervaiz Elahi over his role concerning ban on blasphemous books. He said, “Working relation between both parties will strengthen further with passage of time.
“PML-Q is our ally, we will work together and serve people. Those who are trying to create differences between both parties will not succeed. Public wants practical work, not hollow slogans.
“The Punjab government has done record legislation in short time and its performance is better than other provinces. The opposition neither has any agenda regarding public welfare nor coronavirus.”
Pervaiz Elahi said, “We are standing with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and will continue to do so. Our alliance is stronger than before and wishes of those who are trying to break it will not be fulfilled.
“We completely support CM Usman Buzdar and appreciate his good works. Unlike the past, there are no personal likings and disliking in the province and the government is based on merit and governance. We will continue to serve people together.”
