19 killed in road accidents in Khanewal, Kala Shah Kaku , Noshki
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A bus overturned in Khanewal, a pick-up and car collided in Noshki while a van full of guests overturned in Kala Shah Kaku.
According to details, nine passengers lost their lives and 35 others sustained serious injuries when a Multan bound bus carrying more than 42 passengers overturned while trying to save a motorcyclist near Khanewal.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Rango Bridge on Khanewal National Highway. Rescue teams rushed to the place of the incident as soon as report was received and rescued the injured after a two hours long operation and shifted them to District Hospital and Nishter Hospital Multan.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives in the Khanewal bus accident and sought a report on the incident. He directed the authorities to provide the best medical facilities to the injured.
In another incident in Kala Shah Kaku a van overturned killing 5 members of a family and injuring 10 others. Two children and 3 ladies were among the dead.
A tragic accident has also taken place in Noshki. Five people were killed and 14 were injured in a collision between a car and a pickup truck. According to sources, the accident took place near forests on the national highway.
