Youm-e-Takbeer: Resolution paying tribute to Nawaz Sharif submitted in PA
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A resolution paying tribute to former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Youm-e-Takbeer has been submitted in Punjab Assembly today (Thursday).
According to the resolution, Nawaz Sharif conducted nuclear tests in 1998 despite international pressure. This House declares Nawaz Sharif as founder of nuclear Pakistan, the resolution further stated.
It is to be mentioned here that on this day [28th May] in 1998, Pakistan carried out five successful nuclear tests in Chaghi, Balochistan followed by another nuclear test on 30th May in Kharan.
After these nuclear tests Pakistan became seventh nuclear power of the world and first in the Muslim world.
