PML-N leader Amir Muqam tests positive for COVID-19

Amir Muqam has quarantined himself at home.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Amir Muqam, the PML-N President for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, on Sunday confirmed that he has tested positive for coronavirus.

In a message posted on Twitter, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif said he was "saddened" by the news regarding Amir Maqam. Sharif paid tribute to Muqam’s services to the party and prayed for his speedy recovery.

Three days ago, PML-N deputy secretary general Attaullah Tarar had also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

It may be mentioned here that a number of government functionaries and politicians have contracted the virus in the country.

A woman MPA of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shaheen Raza lost her life last week after battling the virus. She hailed from Gujranwala and had been fighting coronavirus for the last few days.
