NAB committed to rooting out corruption: Chairman Javed Iqbal
Chairman Javed Iqbal said that corruption is a poison that needs to be dealt with iron hands
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has said that NAB is committed to eradicating corruption.
According to details, a NAB meeting was held through video link in which Chairman Javed Iqbal addressed the officers. He said that NAB officers are implementing the policy of corruption free Pakistan as a national duty.
The Chairman said that the establishment of NAB Forensic Science Laboratory has improved the quality of its inquiry and investigation capabilities. He said that the conviction rate of NAB cases in accountability courts is 70%.
He said that NAB is committed to tackling corruption and uprooting it. He said that in his address to the Constituent Assembly, even Quaid-i-Azam termed corruption and nepotism as major evils.
Chairman Javed Iqbal said that corruption is a poison that needs to be dealt with iron hands. He pointed out that reputable national and international organizations are appreciating the hard work, courage, transparency and merit of NAB officers.
He directed the NAB officers to maximize their efforts to bring the corrupt elements to justice and recover the country’s looted money.
