Could lock down markets if SOPs are not implemented: Mian Aslam Iqbal
The Minister was speaking exclusively to Dunya News' program "Nuqta-e-Nazar"
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that people are not cooperating in Punjab after the easing of lockdown. He said that if the public does not show responsibility, markets could be locked down again.
Speaking exclusively to Dunya News program "Nuqta-e-Nazar", Mian Aslam Iqbal said that the government could be forced to take another difficult decision and close down the markets in which concerned individuals are not following SOPs.
Aslam Iqbal said that he visited Anarkali, Ichhra Bazaar Markets but unfortunately the SOPs are not being followed. He said it has been observed that each shop has dozens of customers at a time which increases the risk of the virus spreading and urged people to not take young children to the market.
The provincial minister outlined the SOPs saying that getting rid of encroachments and Shopkeepers and salesmen wearing masks while dealing with the public are also part of the SOPs.
