Govt extends suspension of international flight operations till May 15
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government has extended suspension of international flight operations till May 15 in a bid to stop spread of coronavirus in the country.
The press release issued by Aviation Division reads, “As per the decision of the Government of Pakistan, the suspension of International flight operations as effected earlier has been extended upto Friday, May 15, 2020 2359 hours PST.”
“Remaining provisions as applicable to the suspension of International flights reflected in the previous orders remain unchanged”
However, special and cargo flights are exempted from the suspension. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been operating special flights from April 15 to repatriate thousands of Pakistanis stranded abroad.
