Overseas Pakistanis could return to Pakistan once testing and quarantine capacities increase
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Security, Dr Moeed Yusuf has said that travelers coming into Pakistan from its three borders with Iran, Afghanistan and India will be kept under quarantine for a period of two days.
During a media briefing with the Prime Minister, Dr Moeed Yusuf said that out of the two thousand travelers who entered Pakistan in the last week, only 40 tested positive for the coronavirus.
He said that overseas Pakistanis could return to Pakistan once our testing and quarantine capacities increase. Pakistanis will return from Australia and other countries this week and some will be returning via private airlines during the next week, as PIA does not have access to some countries, he added.
The Special Assistant for National Security further said that all decisions were being made with consultation from all the provinces.
