Corona survivor Yahya Jafferi donates Plasma to Children's Hospital
Plasma from a recovered patient can help in the treatment of other patients
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s first citizen to contract the Covid-19 virus, Yahya Jafferi, has donated his plasma to Children’s Hospital in Karachi after recovering from the deadly virus. The plasma will aid efforts to cure other patients of the virus.
According to details, the country’s first coronavirus patient addressed a press conference in Karachi along with his parents, in which he said that Pakistan can overcome this global pandemic but it will need strong will and effort.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Saqib Ansari, an expert on blood disease, said that patients affected by the coronavirus are looking towards the government for help. He urged patients, aged 18-50, who have recovered from the virus to donate their plasma as well so that more lives can be saved.
