Schools in Punjab to remain closed till May 30

LAHORE (Dunya News) – It has been decided during cabinet meeting of Punjab government that schools in the province will remain closed till May 30.

The provincial cabinet meeting also decided on the insurance of doctors and paramedical staff in hospitals across Punjab and a grant of Rs1Bn for Balochistan was also approved.

Addressing a press conference after the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar announced that in light of the prevailing situation, local bodies elections have been postponed.

He also announced the extension of school closure in the province till May 30 and that private schools have been advised to charge only 50% fee from students.

CM Punjab also announced to induct 10000 doctors and paramedical staff in wake of the growing threat of coronavirus in the province. The CM and other ministers have also announced to donate a month’s salary in Corona Fund.
