Foreign Ministry sets up Special Task Force to prevent coronavirus spread

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Ministry of Pakistan has initiated measures to protect employees from coronavirus.

Spokesperson of Foreign Office Aisha Farooqui has said that ministry has set up special task force for precautionary and awareness measures to prevent spread of the coronavirus.

Aisha Farooqui informed that Special Task Force will be in contact with foreign missions in Pakistan and Pakistani missions abroad.

She further said that the task force comprises of DG Headquarters and few BS-17 officers will also be added in the force. The task force cell infrastructure has been established.

According to the spokesperson, the electronic file system was also enabled which will be used for online file transfer. She added that informational meeting are being arranged to educate employees about the virus.

She further said that the ministry has placed hand sanitizers at various points and has displayed informational boards at all entry points of the office.

Spokesperson also said that hand sanitizers and anti-bacterial swabs were distributed among employees.
