The premier was scheduled to inaugurate multiple projects.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, instead of Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Saturday inaugurated Sakhi Hassan Flyover, 5-Star Flyover and KDA Flyover but gave all the credit to the premier.

“The prime minister had been evaluating progress of all development projects,” the governor remarked.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit scheduled for today to Karachi was postponed due to "inclement" weather conditions.

The premier was scheduled to inaugurate multiple projects. Scores of PTI workers had set up numerous camps in the city to welcome the prime minister.

Other projects included the renovation of Nishtar Road and restoration of Manghopir Road.

The PM was also scheduled to chair a meeting to review progress on several federal-funded development projects and public welfare schemes in Sindh.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan tweeted on Saturday, “Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan and bringing it amongst the ranks of the world’s modern cities is included in the list of priorities of the premier.”

She said PM Imran’s visit to Karachi was cancelled due to inclement weather. She said that representing the premier, the Sindh’s Governor would inaugurate development and public welfare projects.
