Poisonous gas kills six in Karachi
Victims admitted in the hospital are having severe breathing problems
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Six people including two women lost their lives as a result of poisonous gas leak in Kimari area of Karachi. More than 30 affected people are being treatment at a hospital.
According to police, victims admitted in hospital are having severe breathing problems. Police is conducting investigations to find details about the gas leak.
Federal Minister of Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi wrote,” Shocked to hear about loss of life due to poisonous gases in Kemari. Although the incident is not in the port, KPT officials have been dispatched to investigate the root cause.”
Head of Edhi Foundation Faisal Edhi arrived at the hospital and said that there was a gas leak in port area.
He told the media that six people have lost their lives so far and appealed to the port authority to reveal the truth and tell about nature of gas which leaked.
