PM declares emergency against food adulteration
PM directed Chief Secretary Sindh to take immediate action against hoarders.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that adulteration of food items will not be tolerated and directed officials to form a National Action Plan in one week to stop this illegal practice.
During a high level meeting, provincial Chief Secretaries briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan on price control of basic commodities, profiteering and adulteration.
During the meeting, Prime Minister said that adulteration cannot be allowed as people involved in this illegal practice are playing with health of people and children. Adulterated items are spreading diseases as well as affecting growth of children, he added.
Expressing concern over flour prices in Karachi, PM directed Chief Secretary Sindh to take immediate action against hoarders.
