Shaukat Yousafzai gives new deadline for BRT project

Shaukat Yousafzai said that the BRT project is in its final stage.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai on Wednesday has given a new deadline for the completion of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Peshawar project, and said that the contractor will be fined Rs500 million if he fails to meet the time limit.

Shaukat Yousafzai addressed the All Parties Conference (APC) convened by Jamaat-e-Islami where he raised the matter on BRT project. He said that the civil work of the mega-project has been completed and it is in its final stage.

He expressed that the total construction cost of the BRT project is Rs34 billion, and if there is corruption in the project then it should be exposed.
