Pakistan has achieved respectable position in global community: PM Imran

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday held a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Dr Babar Awan and said that Pakistan has achieved a respectable position in the international community, and will keep working on the institutional reforms.

The meeting was held at the PM House where the recent situation of the country was discussed. The Prime Minister was also briefed on various legal and constitutional issues.

PM Imran Khan expressed that the stability of the country is in the freedom of institutions. He said that 2020 is a year of relief for the people. “There is no concept of transparency in governance without accountability”, he added.

On the occasion, Babar Awan said that the Ehsaas Programme, Panahgah Programme and Ehsaas-Saylani Langar Scheme is an important step towards the welfare state. “The economic situation witnessed an improvement and it the key to a wonderful future”, he added.

He said that the recent increase in remittances is a manifestation of confidence in the Prime Minister. “The implications of the government’s economic policies will reach the people in 2020,” he added.
