(Dunya News) – A picture of ailing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at a local restaurant in London has gone viral on Monday.
The picture shows Nawaz Sharif having dinner with PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, former finance minister Ishaq Dar, Salman Shehbaz, Hassan Nawaz and others.
As the picture started circulating on social media, Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid contacted Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician and sought details about Sharif’s health.
Yasmin Rashid stated that Nawaz Sharif’s latest medical reports will be forwarded to the Punjab government.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif left Pakistan on November 18 in an air ambulance to seek medical treatment in London, a month after the three-time premier was released on bail from a seven-year prison sentence for corruption.
The former prime minister is suffering from an auto-immune blood disorder, high blood pressure and deteriorating kidney function, according to aides.
His doctor said he was "fighting for his life".
On October 25, he was granted bail and he obtained court clearance to leave the country for medical treatment.
Sharif’s third term as prime minister ran from 2013 to 2017, when he was removed the Supreme Court amid revelations over his personal wealth.
