Quetta blast: FIR lodged against unidentified terrorists

Two people died while other 18 sustained injures in the blast.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – An First Investigation Report (FIR) has been registered against unidentified terrorists who were involved in the blast that took place in Quetta on Jan 7, and resulted in death of two persons.

The case has been registered in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station regarding the powerful explosion that took place on the McConaughey Road in Quetta. Two people were killed while 18 others sustained injuries.

The blast shattered the glass windows of nearby buildings and shops. The sound of the explosion was heard far and wide, causing panic among the people.

Soon after the explosion, security forces and rescue staff reached the spot and shifted the wounded people to local hospital for medico-legal formalities. Security officials have cordoned off the site of the blast.

President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have condemned the blast in Quetta.

In their separate messages, they expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives and prayed for the departed souls.

The Prime Minister directed to provide best medical aid to the injured.
