Police working to protect integrity of people, end corruption: IGP

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Inspector General Punjab (IGP) Shoaib Dastagir on Saturday during his Faisalabad visit said that police is working to protect integrity of masses, end corruption and ensure stability of state.

While addressing media in Faisalabad, IGP said that he and Chief Secretary Azam Suleman Khan are visiting very region to deliver better services.

IGP said that safe city projects are being delayed in some cities due to lack of resources, however police is trying their best to fight crime, arrest suspects in all cases and make public feel safe.

He further said that recovery of robbed items, good governance and reducing crime is among police’s top priorities.

IGP added that they believe in quality rather than quantity and are taking steps to increase public’s trust in institutions. Command and Control system is being used to control crime rate and latest technologies are being incorporated in investigation processes.

He also pointed out important role of media in society.
