PM Imran urges 'young aspiring leaders' to follow Quaid-e-Azam as 'role model'

Earlier today, PM Khan extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community living in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan, in his message on the birthday anniversary of the founder of Pakistan on Wednesday, urged “young aspiring leaders” to make Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah a “role model”.

The premier took to his official Twitter handle, and stated: “Today, on Quaid-i-Azam’s birthday, we as a nation must resolve to build Pakistan in accordance with his vision of an Islamic welfare state based on compassion [and] human dignity, justice [and the] rule of [the] Law; [and] a plural inclusivist society.”

In another tweet, PM Imran stated: “All our young aspiring leaders should make our Quaid their role model. He was Sadiq [and] Ameen, [and] his 40-year struggle was not for personal gain but to achieve a [separate] homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent where they could live as free citizens second to none.”

Earlier today, PM Imran Khan extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community living in Pakistan. “Wishing all our Christian citizens a Happy Christmas,” he stated.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi also extended felicitations to the Christian community. “Merry Christmas to all celebrating. May we spread happiness, joy, and peace on this occasion,” he tweeted.
