Govt will take stance after reviewing detailed verdict of special court: Faisal Javed
"Musharraf's nine years were much better than the ten years of the PPP and PML-N", said Senator.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Senator Faisal Javed said that the government will take a position after reviewing the detailed verdict against former president Gen (R) Pervez Musharraf in high treason case.
Speaking exclusively to Dunya News, he responded to the verdict saying that only a lawyer can talk about the legal aspects of the verdict but Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilalwal Bhutto’s comment is beyond understanding. PPP Chairman took to Twitter and expressed that democracy is the best revenge.
The PTI Senator asserted that Bilawal Bhutto termed the verdict as a historic decision but it was Pervez Musharraf who gave him NRO. “Is corruption and money laundering consistent with the Constitution? Was this all in accordance with the Constitution for those who plundered the country together for 10 years?” he asked.
He further said that Musharraf served for forty years in the Pak Army. “Musharraf, himself, admitted that he had made a mistake by giving the NRO,” he added. Senator Javed maintained: “Musharraf’s nine years were much better than the ten years of the PPP and PML-N together”.
