IGP, chief secretary direct police to improve their performance

IGP ordered the police to stop misuse of funds and to gain trust of public.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chief Secretary Azam Suleman and IG Punjab Shoaib Dastagir directed civil and police officers to improve their performance, stating that the ban on transfer and appointment was lifted to facilitate them.

Chief Secretary presided over an important meeting of civil and police officers. It was attended by IGP, and other personnel from CCPO to DSPs.

Chief Secretary Azam Suleman told civil and police officers that main aim to call this meeting was to bring improvement in the system. He further added that any officer who took bribe, misbehaved with people and showed incompetency will be removed from his position before competition of his tenure, which is three years.

IG Punjab expressed that masses do not trust police and government funds are being misused. He ordered to stop misuse of funds and to gain trust of public. He also ordered DCs and DPOs to hold joint session of open courts.
