RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that matters of the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) as well as legislation regarding extension in Army Chief’s tenure will be resolved.
While addressing an event organized by traders in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed said that Pakistan’s media is strong and independent Today which is clear from free coverage and analysis of Army Chief (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and PM Imran Khan’s cases.
Railways minister said that JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had come to Islamabad for Imran Khan’s resignation, “I ask him, where is the resignation?”
He further said that government is working to control inflation and unemployment. He advised the traders to not indulge in fights with their fellow-professionals and resolve matters with reconciliation.
While commenting on country’s current economic situation, Sheikh Rasheed said that Rupee’s value has been upped by Rs 10 against dollar.
He announced to set up four universities for girls in Rawalpindi adding that government is working on mother-child hospital having 14 operation theatres.
