Excise and Taxation officers in Punjab observe strike

The strike was against the postings of other services officials in Excise and Taxation department.

The Excise and Taxation department has decided to appoint the officers of other services on the posts of Excise and Taxation Officers and Assistant Taxation Officers.The excise officers and other employees across Punjab protested and suspended the work.The protesters said that the decision was taken just to accommodate the favourite officers of other services, whereas the excise officers were performing their duties in a well manner.
