Govt issues notification of reshuffle in federal cabinet

Asad Umar has taken oath as the Minister for Planning and Special Initiatives in the federal cabinet

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The cabinet division has issued a notification regarding extension and reshuffling of federal cabinet.

According to the cabinet division’s notification, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar will be re-allocated to ministry of National Food Security and Research whereas Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan will appointed as minister for States and Frontier Region.

Former finance minister Asad Umar has made a return to the federal cabinet and taken oath as the Minister for Planning and Special Initiatives on November 19.

The oath was administered by President Dr. Arif Alvi at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. Asad Umar has replaced Khusro Bakhtiar.

It should be noted that yesterday (Nov 18), Assistant Special Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan tweeted saying that the Prime Minister has decided to make changes in the federal cabinet.
