A committee comprising members of the Senate and NA formed to reach a consensus on the legislation.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Law and Justice Farogh Naseem said that the amendment in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law is in process and will be brought through ordinance if the opposition raises objection.

During judicial dress code bill meeting, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and MNA Syed Naveed said, “We are supporting this bill, yet the government wants to bring ordinance.

“Why is the bill being presented as a controversy? We cannot support the ordinance.” Naveed Qamar said that the government does not agree on anything where the matters are being bulldozed.

Farogh Naseem expressed that the ordinance is necessary because the Senate would not approve the judicial dress code bill even despite National Assembly‘s approval. “The constitution allows the ordinance, and it would not have been included in the constitution if its issuance was undemocratic”, he added.

Chairman Committee Riaz Fatyana said that a committee comprising members of the Senate and the National Assembly has been set up to try to reach a consensus on the legislation.
