Dengue claims four more lives in Karachi
Death toll from deadly dengue virus in Sindh has reached 25 during the current year.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Four more dengue fever patients died at two private hospitals in Karachi on Tuesday, raising the death toll from the deadly disease to 25 in Sindh province this year, Dunya News reported.
According to details, three women and a man died in Ziaud Din Hospital North Nazimabad and Clifton Campus due to dengue fever on a single day while 225 new dengue fever patients were reported in Karachi during the past 24 hours.
The deceased included 82-year-old Sarfraz Hussain of Defence area, 35-year-old Afshan Asif of Gulbahar, 57-year-old Gulnar Begum of Gulbahar and 50-year-old Sadia Khatoon of North Nazimabad.
On the other hand, 82 new dengue cases were reported Rawalpindi on Tuesday, raising the number of dengue patients in the city to 10,474 while dengue fever has claimed 45 lives this year.
