Dengue fever claims one more life in Karachi
Death toll from deadly dengue virus in Karachi has escalated to 18 during the current year.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – One more dengue fever patient died at a private hospital in Karachi on Wednesday, raising the death toll from the deadly disease to 18 in Sindh province this year, Dunya News reported.
According to details, 35-yeae-old Samreen from Metrowal site area of Karachi was admitted at a private hospital a few days ago after medical tests proved that dengue virus was present in her blood where she died during treatment.
On the other hand, more than 200 hundred new dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh during the past 24 hours out of which 192 cases were reported in various hospitals of Karachi.
According to sources, at least 2505 dengue cases surfaced in the Sindh province during the current month out of which 2333 cases were reported in Karachi alone.
