Chinese leadership has supported Pakistan on Kashmir issue: FO
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal on Thursday said that Chinese leadership has fully supported Pakistan’s stance on Indian occupied Kashmir conflict.
During the press briefing in Islamabad, the spokesperson said Pakistan is raising Kashmir matter on every forum so that the international community can play their due role in resolving the dispute.
Pakistan demands lifting of all sorts of restrictions and stoppage of human rights violations in the held valley, he added.
Dr Muhammad Faisal said despite Indian efforts to cover up its brutalities in occupied Kashmir, the plight of the Kashmiri people is being recognized across the world. He pointed out that three US Presidential candidates have added their voices in censuring India on the appalling humanitarian situation in the valley.
Meanwhile, he said that Kartarpur Corridor will be opened on the decided time whereas former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been formally invited to attend the inaugural ceremony.
Dr Faisal also stated that an official announcement will be made regarding PM Imran Khan’s upcoming visits to Iran and Saudi Arabia.
He further said that the authorities are reviewing matters related to South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) session, adding that Pakistan is not ready to join arm race.

To a question about the Syrian conflict, Dr Muhammad Faisal said Pakistan appreciates Turkey s role in finding a viable political solution to the conflict. He said we also commend Turkey s humanitarian efforts of graciously hosting over 3.5 million Syrian refugees on its soil.
He said Pakistan also recognizes Turkey’s legitimate security concerns in the region.
He said Pakistan continues to support the territorial integrity of Syria and hopes that a political solution to the conflict will be reached at the earliest that takes into account the concerns of all the regional stakeholders.
