Clash erupts as police block protesting traders from entering Red Zone
The protesting traders demanded to stage protest in front of FBR office.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Police on Wednesday blocked the protesters after their attempt to enter into Red Zone and stage protest in front of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) office.
Huge contingent of police have been deployed and the roads leading to the Red Zone have been closed.
The protesting traders, belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa demanded to stage protest in front of FBR office.
They also demanded the government to fulfil its promise of fixed tax, adding that the tax officials were harassing them.
The protesters said that the protest will continue till the demands are met, adding that the FBR chairman to himself come for the dialogues.
Situation becomes tense when police tried to disperse the protestors when they started walking towards the Red Zone .
