PML-N calls on JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman to postpone 'Azadi March'

JUI-F chief convened a meeting to review the 'Azadi March' postpone proposal.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), today (Oct 2) demanding that the ‘Azadi March’ should be postponed till November.
The PML-N delegation, which included Ahsan Iqbal, Shah Mohammad Shah, Ameer Muqam, Abdul Qadir Baloch and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, also informed Fazlur Rehman and his party about the meeting of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
PML-N requested that the call for sit-in in Islamabad should be rescheduled as their party needs time for strategic preparation. Talking to the media after the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that they would like to move forward jointly and everyone would be together at a crucial time.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahsan Iqbal said that a joint strategy would be beneficial and the decision taken by their leader former premier Nawaz Sharif will be the final one.

Meanwhile, JUI-F chief expressed that their anti-government protest have been tried to counter by using a religious card at the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
