British Pakistani businessman Zameer Choudrey appointed as House of Lords member

LONDON (Dunya News) - British Pakistani businessperson Zameer Choudrey has been appointed to the House of Lords under the Queen’s intention of conferring Peerages of the United Kingdom. He will formally take oath as a member of the House of Lord in a few weeks.

In an announcement, former Prime Minister Theresa May recognized key political aides, a sporting hero and business leaders in her resignation honour list. Zameer Choudrey’s appointment as the Lord is a huge honour for Pakistan and recognition of the hard work of Pakistanis in Britain.

Choudrey, Chief Executive of Bestway Group, CBE is the nephew of Sir Anwar Pervez, the founder of Bestway group.

Zameer in a statement said its great honor to be a member of House of Lords. He played a valuable role in attracting foreign businessmen to Pakistan and President honored him with Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
