ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Saturday predicted that the possible war between India and Pakistan would be the last one.
“We don’t wish for the war, but if it happens, it would be the last […] Pakistan army knows well how to defend the motherland and the general public of Pakistan stands in support of Kashmiris,” the minister said in his talk to the media.
He further stated that Pakistan would continue its support for occupied Kashmiris [in their struggle for self-determination].
Regarding regional peace and stability in respect to ongoing peace talks between Afghan Taliban and the United States, the federal minister asserted that he wanted peace in both countries.
About the ongoing corruption cases against several politicians, Rasheed said whosoever had eaten “carrots”; he/she would be treated by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
“Even bureaucracy hasn’t been working due to fear of the NAB,” he said.
He termed rainfalls as the reason of trains getting late and revealed that the Pakistan Railways has profited Rs10 billion [under his ministership].
