Kashmir is a matter of life and death for us: Sirajul Haq
Sirajul Haq said that JI will organize an international conference on Kashmir issue very soon.
PAKPATTAN (Dunya News) - Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq on Wednesday said that Kashmir is a matter of life and death for us, Dunya News reported.
Talking to media after attending Urs ceremony of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar at Pakpattan, Sirajul Haq said that 1.5 million India army personnel are present in the Occupied Kashmir. He said one Indian soldier is standing outside every home in the valley.
He said that Kashmiris were forces to bury their dead in their courtyards due to curfew imposed by the Indian government in the valley since August 5. He said that over 300 young Kashmiri women have been kidnapped by the Indian forces and more than 5000 Kashmiri youth have been taken into custody during the month-long curfew in the occupied Kashmir.
Sirajul Haq said that Kashmir is a matter of life and death for us and added that Kashmir issue is not only the issue of Kashmiris but of the 220 million Muslims living in India as well as the people of Pakistan.
He demanded of the government to remove the barricade erected by India along the line of control (LoC) and added that the government should immediately withdraw from Shimla Agreement.
Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami will organize an international conference on Kashmir issue very soon. He said that the date and venue of the conference will be announced in the coming days.
