US expresses concerns over prevailing Kashmir situation
The US sought details from India over situations in occupied Kashmir.
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - A statement released by the US State Department on Thursday expressed concerns over the prevailing situation in the occupied Kashmir.
The US State Department spokesperson said, “very concerned by reports of detentions and the continued restrictions of the residents of the region”. He added that the situation is alarming and respect for human rights must be ensured in the occupied valley.
On the other hand, India, which has been crying over Kashmir terming it an inside affair, has once again got humiliated when the US sought details from the Modi government over occupied Kashmir.
According to the Indian journal ThePrint, the United States is deeply concerned over the ongoing arrests in the occupied valley. Washington has sought details of the situation in the occupied valley from New Delhi. As per ThePrint, information was requested not only by the US embassy but also by high-level US diplomats visiting New Delhi.
