Decision to re-examine NAB's rules based on dishonesty: Raza Rabbani

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former Senate chairman Mian Raza Rabbani on Wednesday said that the decision to re-examine the rules of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is based on dishonesty.
Rabbani alleged that the federal cabinet‘s decision is an attempt to exact political revenge to the political figures.” The proposed amendment stated that only political figures will face special law and special courts”, he added.
Former Senate Chairman said that the accountability of the members of parliament should be held by the parliamentary committee if the people of other institutions are held accountable by their respective committees. The solution is to set up a Federal Commission for Accountability, he added.
He asserted that Federal Commission for Accountability should hold every sector of the society accountable to maintain same law for everyone.
