Kashmir issue is test for UNSC's permanent members: Firdous Ashiq Awan
Firdous said India always violate the global resolutions and undermine the int'l laws.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan today (August 16) said that the reputation of the Security Council’s permanent members will be questioned if the institution fails to put pressure on India for ending the special status of Kashmir.
In a statement issued by Firdous Ashiq Awan on the issue of Kashmir, she expressed that the real face of the so-called secular state of India has been exposed. “India has always violated the international resolutions and has always undermined the int’l laws”, she added.
She went on to say that India forces have been massacring Kashmiris in the occupied valley. There has been a shortage of food and medicine for the people of Kashmir, she asserted
SAPM further said that Kashmir issue is a test for the five-member countries of the SC today. “There are 11 UN resolutions present on the Kashmir issue but India is reluctant to implement any of them”, she continued. She asserted that they have taken the case to the UN.
Firdous Awan asserted that India failed to quench the passion of Kashmiris despite 70 years long barbarism in the valley. She expressed that the example of Indian barbarism in Kashmir has been exposed globally. “If the genocide continued in the occupied valley then conditions would be similar to Bosnian genocide”, she added.
