KP cabinet passes resolution against India regarding Kashmir

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet on Friday passed a resolution against the Indian decision on the occupied Kashmir by opening the KP as tourist destination.

According to the details, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet meeting was chaired by provincial Chief Minister Mahmood Khan where cabinet approved the KP tourism bill and opened tourist destinations including Governor’s House, Chief Minister, Speaker House and police rest houses to the public.

Senior Minister for Tourism, Muhammad Atif Khan and Advisor to Chief Minister on Tribal Districts, Ajmal Wazir said the Chief Minister also reiterated that KP will continue to extend moral, political and social support to Kashmiris.

Senior member Atif Khan briefed that 174 governmental guest houses have been handed over to the tourism department in which 49 guest houses have already started online booking.

The Chief Minister said this step is a gift of KP government for people on the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The Chief Minister also issued directives that all departments should take review of development schemes on monthly basis. He also issued directives for ensuring approval of PC:1 of developmental schemes from Planning and Developmental schemes within a period of three months.

According to the Minister for Tourism, the Tourism Authority will be established under the bill which will also have a special police wing.
