FM Qureshi meets his Chinese counterpart, discusses occupied Kashmir situation
FM Qureshi informed his Chinese counterpart about the brutality of India in the Kashmir.
BEIJING (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday held an important meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in the aftermath of imposition of unilateral and unconstitutional step by New Delhi to scrap the India-occupied Kashmir (IoK) autonomy and briefed him on the Indian barbarism in the occupied Kashmir.
Both discussed the tense situation in the Kashmir after India ended the special status of the valley abrogating the Article 370 and 35A. FM Qureshi informed Wang Yi about the unconstitutional measures by the India which enforced brutality on the Kashmiris and abused the human rights in the region.
Talking to the media after reaching China, Qureshi said that India is pushing for unilateral unconstitutional measures to bring “peace” to the region. “China, along with being a longtime friend of Pakistan, is an important country in the region, so I will take the Chinese leadership in confidence over this whole situation”, he added.
According to the details, FM Qureshi arrived in China with Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood and senior Foreign Ministry officials on the important diplomatic mission in view of the worsening situation in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Foreign Minister Qureshi arrived at the State Guest House in Beijing where he was warmly welcomed by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and exchanged handshakes and hugs with each other. People shouted slogans for the Pak-China friendship in the resonance of continued clapping.
