India's decision unacceptable to Kashmiri people: Firdous Ashiq Awan

Hurriyat leaders said that India's move would not affect their movement for freedom.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Wednesday said that India’s decision regarding Kashmir is unacceptable to Kashmiris as dividing the valley is betrayal with them.

According to the details, Firdous Ashiq Awan rejected the unconstitutional move to abolish Kashmir‘s special status at a joint press conference with the Hurriyat leaders and said that any such decision would be treacherous with the Kashmiris.

Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director Kashmir Media Service (KMS) Sheikh Tajamul Islam said that India first forced affiliation on Kashmir and now enforcing integration. “Any decision of India is not going to stop our movement for independence,” he added.

On this occasion, the Hurriyat Rehnuma leaders said that India‘s decision would not affect their movement for freedom. The Hurriyat leaders expressed their resolve that the day is not far when the green flag will be hoisted in Lal Chowk in Srinagar.
