ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Political leadership has condemned the use of cluster bombs on innocent civilians by Indian forces along LoC. Political leaders asked international community to play its role to solve the dispute in the region.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says India is jeopardizing the regional peace in its war hysteria.

In a statement, he condemned the blatant use of cluster bombs by Indian security forces targeting innocent civilians along the Line of Control. Terming it a clear violation of the Geneva Convention and International Laws, the foreign minister urged the international community to take notice of these Indian atrocities.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari termed use of cluster ammunition by Indian Army, to target the civilian population across the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), as a barbaric act.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman asserted that Indian terrorism on the LoC should be exposed globally as cluster bombing was a brutal act from the India. He also added that the tyranny of the Indian Army in the occupied Kashmir has increased.

He further expressed that killing of innocent children and other human beings by the Indian forces shows the madness of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it needs to be exposed.

Erstwhile President Asif Ali Zardari condoled with the families of the martyrs and prayed for the recovery of those injured in the attack.
Opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack on innocent civilians and demanded from UN to take notice of the incident under its own resolutions.

He said if state terrorism by India did not stop then there would be no need of UN. He expressed condolences with grieved families.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani said Indian forces were committing ceasefire violation in Neelum valley along Line of Control (LoC) by resorting to unprovoked firing and shelling on civilian population residing there. He said international community must take notice of this brutality. He also prayed for the victims.

SAPM Firdous Ashiq Awan while condemning the attacks asked international community to come forward to solve the issue. She said Pakistan wants to solve the longstanding issue through dialogue. She asked Indian authorities to accept President Trump’s offer for mediation.

Federal minister for Kashmir affairs Ali Amin Gandapur said Modi government is deliberately trying to divert the focus of public from outstanding issue. He said India is trying to get its malicious propaganda fulfilled by increasing military. He said Kashmir’s struggle for freedom would win.

Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail called upon the international community to take stock of atrocities committed against the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

In a tweet here Saturday he took strong exception to indifference of world body towards the plight of IOK inhabitants.

“State oppression and atrocities committed against the people of IOK had broken all records,” he commented.

The Governor of Sindh on behalf of the people of Pakistan said that they would never abandon their Kashmiri brothers fighting for their self determination right.
