PM Imran takes notice of roadblocks for opposition rallies: Fawad Chaudhry

Fawad Ch said that opposition doesn't hold street power and people are sick of them.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday took notice of the roadblocks for the opposition rallies to observe the ‘black day’ and directed the authorities to allow the rallies regulate peacefully.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that PM Imran has directed the administration to allow peaceful rallies to the opposition. He expressed, “PM took notice of road blocks that were put up for Opposition jalsas. He has directed the authorities that Opposition should be free to hold peaceful rallies and protests.”

Fawad Chaudhry said that according to PM, rallies will expose the opposition to the public as it will show that opposition does not hold street power and people are fed up of them. “It will only expose the Opposition as they hold no street power and people of Pakistan are sick of them.” 

On July 25, The joint opposition observed ‘Youm-e-Siah’ – the black day, by deciding to hold rallies across Pakistan, whereas the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) marked Youm-e-Tashakur’ – the thanksgiving day, to commemorate party’s victory in the General Elections, 2018.

Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif claimed that worst rigging took place in the General Elections 2018. Revengeful activities in the name of accountability are continued against PML-N leaders, he added.

Sharif further asserted they are not afraid of jails and that they will also make Prime Minister (M) Imran Khan accountable.
